Enroute to Rivendell

I'm reading the Lord of the Rings to my kids and it's a perfect excuse to paint some characters featured in the story. I'm not very impressed by the plastics in the GW LOTR range, bunch of brittle, poor casts. The metals in the range are a different story entirely. Lovely figures! Sculpted by the Perry twins, I believe.

Anyway, we made it to the Ford of Rivendell in the book today and I finished painting these guys too.
